Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems that carry chemicals, gases, steam, and process fluids. Spool fabrication, pipe routing, flange alignment, hydrotesting.
Among the most sought-after tradespeople in heavy industry. Weld carbon steel, stainless, and alloy piping joints using SMAW and GTAW processes — RT-quality welds expected.
Manage scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling. Scaffolding is critical to shutdown access — poor planning delays every downstream activity. CISRS-certified preferred.
Oversee heavy lifting and rigging operations during shutdowns and construction projects. Lift plans, sling selection, crane coordination — a dropped load in a live plant is catastrophic.
The brain behind every successful turnaround. Build the WBS in Primavera P6 or MS Project, sequence every task, assign resources, and identify the critical path.
Day-to-day upkeep of rotating and static equipment in operating plants. Preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, and reliability improvement. Long-duration deployments.
Keep power systems running in industrial plants — HT/LT switchgear, transformers, motors, drives, and distribution systems. Preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown response.
Maintain measurement and control devices — pressure transmitters, flow meters, level gauges, control valves, analyser systems. Calibration, troubleshooting, loop checks.
Precision specialists for pumps, compressors, turbines, and blowers. Bearing clearances, vibration signatures, alignment tolerances, seal systems — a premium skill set.
Operate the distributed control systems and PLC platforms that run continuous process plants. Honeywell Experion, Yokogawa Centum, ABB 800xA, Emerson DeltaV — shift-rostered.
Lead on-site mechanical erection for refinery, petrochem, power, and process plant projects. Equipment erection, piping, structural steel, equipment alignment, and pre-commissioning.
Supervise erection of structural steel frameworks for industrial buildings, process plants, and infrastructure projects. Column & beam erection, bolt tightening, connection verification.
Lead civil works execution on industrial and infrastructure sites — foundations, pile caps, RCC structures, flooring, drainage. Daily crew supervision and material coordination.

Drive quality control at site during construction and shutdowns. Inspection & Test Plans, NDT oversight, documentation, non-conformance reports, and client handover packages.
Certified verification of weld-quality, WPS/PQR compliance, and welder qualification management on piping, vessels, and structural work. CSWIP 3.1 mandatory.
Inspect protective coating and painting systems on pipelines, structures, tanks, and marine assets. Surface prep, DFT, adhesion testing, and holiday detection.
Non-destructive testing on welds, vessels, and piping. UT, RT, MT, PT, and VT examinations with ASNT Level II certification. Report writing and defect sizing.
Coordinate with TPI agencies (DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s, SGS, Bureau Veritas, IRS) for vendor and site inspections. ITP hold-point management and documentation.
End-to-end accountability for industrial and EPC projects — scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and stakeholder management. PMP certification preferred.
Build and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6. WBS, resource loading, critical path analysis, S-curves, and progress reporting for EPC and shutdown projects.
Integrate cost, schedule, and progress data on large projects. Earned Value Management, trend analysis, change order evaluation, and cost forecasting.
Lead all site construction across civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural steel. Senior-most construction authority on 200–1,000+ person sites.
Implement and enforce HSE management systems at project and plant sites. Inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments, incident investigation, and PTW administration.
Field-level safety professionals patrolling work fronts. Monitor compliance, intervene on unsafe acts, verify permits, and supervise scaffold and excavation inspections.
Manage fire prevention, detection, and emergency response at industrial plants. Maintain fire fighting systems, conduct drills, and serve as first responder in emergencies.
Lead the EHS function at large project sites or plants. Team leadership, ISO 45001/14001 systems, strategy, culture, and regulatory compliance at scale.
