Role Overview
Construction Managers lead all site construction activities across multiple disciplines — civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural steel. You’re the senior-most construction authority on site, reporting to the Project Manager or client PMC. This role demands deep field experience, the ability to manage 200–1,000+ person construction sites, and the judgment to make real-time decisions that affect project safety, quality, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all construction activities across civil, mechanical, piping, E&I, and structural disciplines
- Lead construction planning, resource mobilisation, and execution strategy
- Manage construction workforce of 200–1,000+ personnel including subcontractor crews
- Conduct daily site walks and construction progress reviews
- Ensure construction quality compliance with ITPs and project specifications
- Drive safety culture — zero-incident target, incident investigation, corrective actions
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams for project integration
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or relevant engineering discipline
- 12–20+ years of construction management experience at large EPC or industrial projects
- Experience managing multi-discipline construction sites of 200+ personnel
- Track record on projects worth ₹100 Cr+ with major EPC contractors
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of construction safety management systems and Indian regulatory requirements
