Inspection & QA/QC

Third Party Inspection Coordinator

5–12 years Pan-India Evergreen

Role Overview

TPI Coordinators manage the entire third-party inspection process — scheduling inspections with agencies like DNV, SGS, Bureau Veritas, and Lloyds, preparing documentation packages, and ensuring every inspection is witnessed at the right stage. You’re the link between the fabrication/construction team and the external inspection body. Poor TPI coordination causes project delays (missed inspections = hold-up in work progression). Metro deploys TPI coordinators to projects where inspection volume and complexity demand dedicated coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate all third-party inspections with agencies (DNV, SGS, BV, Lloyds, IRClass)
  • Prepare and submit inspection request notices (IRN) with supporting documentation
  • Ensure all quality documents (MTCs, WPS/PQR, NDT reports) are ready before TPI visits
  • Attend and facilitate TPI inspections, resolving queries on behalf of the project team
  • Track inspection status and maintain the inspection log with pass/fail records
  • Coordinate with fabrication, erection, and QA/QC teams to align inspection hold points with work progress
  • Manage TPI-related non-conformances and ensure timely closure

Required Qualifications & Certifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or relevant engineering discipline
  • 5–12 years of experience in QA/QC or TPI coordination at EPC or fabrication projects
  • Experience working with international TPI agencies (DNV, SGS, Bureau Veritas, Lloyds)
  • Strong documentation management and coordination skills
  • Knowledge of ITP, MTR, and quality dossier preparation
  • Familiarity with ASME, API, and EN inspection standards
